One of our very enthusiastic clients, who likes to push himself very hard, sent the following amusing email after a personal training session with our exercise physiologist, Amir:

Dear Amir

Just thought you would like to know how I washed up after Tuesday's torture. I now know what it will be like physically when I am 90. I cannot sit down, or bend my legs, using the loo is next to impossible, climbing stairs takes an age and I can walk no faster than a snail's pace. Oh, and my thighs are as huge as a rugby players! I can't remember feeling in so much pain. Well done mate. Being an idiot I will do it all again though, but more frequently to avoid the after effects!

See you all next week when I think we should focus on stretching?

An interview with one of our rehabilitation clients:

Q: How did you find out about Core Health?

A: I catch the bus outside Core Health and had seen the signs advertising Pilates and Physiotherapy. I was suffering from lower back pain at the time and had heard about Pilates from a friend. Pilates had helped her to get rid of her back pain. I had an initial appointment with Michelle and came to a few individual session before attending a mat class and coming across Amir. I thought Amir was like a drill instructor! All those words and all the things I had to co-ordinate, I felt really dumb. Now, however, I have overcome my dumbness and co-ordination problems.

Q: You recently had a knee operation. How have you found your rehabilitation program with Amir?

A: I had an Arthroscopy on my knee and felt very anxious about rehabilitating it. I worked closely with Amir and found it very challenging, but always when I walked out of the door I felt so much better, like a "spring chicken". Now, 2 months after my operation, my knee is as good as it was supposed to be after 3 months! What I like about Core Health is the friendly yet professional atmosphere. We work really hard but have fun at the same time.
